Enel X launches state’s first Virtual Power Plant under NSW Government Energy Roadmap
A TV exclusive, a premium animated explainer and a full suite of media engagement helped Enel X announce the launch of NSW’s first Virtual Power Plant (VPP) under the Government’s Energy Roadmap.
Elexia was proud to support Enel X as Country Manager Carl Hutchinson greeted NSW Energy Minister Penny Sharpe at the event at Visy’s site in Smithfield, Western Sydney.
Minister Sharpe said: “The launch of these Virtual Power Plants in NSW mark a major milestone in the state’s clean energy transformation, that utilises demand response as a valuable tool. The Minns Labor Government congratulates Enel X on the launch of this innovative resource.”
Mr Hutchinson added: “This isn’t just a win for the grid, it’s a win for NSW businesses that are stepping up to play a critical role in keeping our grid secure while earning revenue for doing so.”
Being specialists in energy, Elexia was able to understand the complex topic of demand response and simplify it to deliver key messages – stabilising the grid, reducing emissions and earning revenue for participating businesses – in a way that cuts through.
