Tasmania’s first electrolyser: Elexia supports launch of hydrogen production and research facility
Tasmania has announced the turning on of the state’s first – and one of Australia’s largest – hydrogen electrolysers.
Elexia Communications was engaged to co-ordinate the launch of the Blue Economy’s Co-Operative Research Centre’s pioneering site at Lutana, Hobart.
The event – which involved state and federal ministers – was the culmination of four years of research as the BE CRC set out to prove the potential of commercial scale production of hydrogen as a fuel source and, specifically, how it might power and decarbonise blue economy industries.
Comprehensive media and government engagement generated front-page news on the morning of the launch, followed by widespread broadcast and radio coverage, resulting in two days of publicity across Tasmania. The news also ran nationally and in industry outlets.
