State and Federal Energy Ministers dumped a controversial proposal on grid connections.
The ESB’s push for Locational Marginal Pricing had caused consternation across the industry.
However, the energy industry galvanised against the change, campaigned consistently from a number of angles and brought about a change that will benefit all Australians.
Congratulations to all involved, those who took a high-profile leading role and also those who supported in a less visible way.
The ministers have told the ESB to dump the LCM proposal and work with government officials to develop a “more orderly” mechanism to manage grid congestion. Read more here.
They have been told to come back with proposals in the middle of the year.
